Movie marathons

Lately, i have seen really good movies and sad to say on pirated dvd's. =( but eventually, they are all DVD copies and not just some dark and clear ones. Except for " A night at the museum" which we watched on theaters last week. The movie was hilarious and unique.=)
but anyways, the movies that i recommend you to see are:
1.) The Pursuit of Happyness - The Best! my eisun and i cried during the latter part of the movie. it was just so touching! especially on the part where there were struggles, pain and sacrifices that were made by the husband and the wife for their son.We can relate to that. I just hated the wife though. She was so selfish and impatient. What i loved about the father, was that he was so compassionate, humble, calm, responsible, caring, hardworking and everything! What he had was hope. Full of it. He should be the role model of fathers out there. Maybe not just fathers, but to all people who has lost faith in life. =)
2.) Babel - This is my strongest bet to the Academy Awards for Best Picture. The plot is unique and realistic. And of course, Brad Pitt! Do i need to say more? =).
3.) Apocalypto - Mel Gibson did a great job in making this movie. Although, Im really not into barbaric and primitive kind of movies but the plot itself gave justice to it. It was also unbelievable and unpredictable. It was all about the Aztecs in South America. Their destiny, survivals and struggles of being an Aztec was just heart breaking.
4) Blood Diamond - I like Leonardo Dicaprio but his acting sucks in this movie. A british who was raised in Sierra Leone, Africa thus the awful "here now, gone tomorrow" accent. But i still recommend you to see it. Its action packed, heart stopping, thriller =) lol!
5.)The Departed - This was so last year but its nice and its an all star cast. Martin Scorsese might lose Best Director to Babel.. Lets wait and see. Im no critic but i can tell =)
6) The Guardian - I once liked Kevin Costner when he was " The Bodyguard" but that was it. So it took me sometime to see this movie. but gladly i did. This is also the best movie Ive seen. =)
I think that was it. I probably forgot one or two but i think that was really it.hehe =)

2007 resolutions?

Naahh.. i never do resolutions! i tend to break 'em and dont have the discipline to achieve it anyway. How was everyone's holidays? Everyone happy? hehehe..I wasnt online during the holiday season. no updates, downloads or uploads..just checking every once in a while..
I forgot my camera when we went to iligan for new year..i was frustrated coz i wasn't able to take a lot of pics during this season. my only substitute was the cameras on our celphones.tsk..tsk..
anyhoo, there were a lot of eating during the season. During Christmas, there was our ever favorite pansit malabon, then there was lasagna, ham, pata tim, chocolate cake(from "cecils", lami kaayu!) and a few delicacies. And for the new year, my mother in law's embutido, her rich and delicious baked spaghetti, leche flan(lami kaayu pud), biko from tita in law (lami pud) and of course ham.All in all, i gained 5 pounds!!! wahahaha..good for me. Even a pound gives me so much pleasure and excitement. Its hard for me to achieve a pound how much more 5. so whoopeedoo! =)
anyways, 2006 was a great year for us. i can still remember the events that happened from January to December last year. Hopefully, this year will be more blessed and fruitful for me and my family.. more travels perhaps and stability.
Im looking forward to what is ahead of us =)
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!
